Onto the sneak peek...here are two photos below of the new die templates I'll be using for my projects today. The dies are called Large & Small Classic Inverted Scalloped Squares. They will coordinate with your existing Spellbinders Square Die Templates. I love the design possibilities of these new shapes. The Classic Inverted Scalloped Square Die Templates are the opposite of the existing Scalloped Square Die Templates. All of the points are inverted, resulting in a square that resembles a postage stamp.
Here is the official name, die numbers, retail price and measurements of the Classic Inverted Scalloped Squares:
DIE NAME: Large and Small Classic Inverted Scalloped Squares
DIE SKU # S4-196 and S4-197
MSRP $24.99 each
Small Set Measurements: (6 total dies) Smallest die cut size is 3/4" square, largest die cut is 3-1/4" square.
Large Set Measurements: (6 total dies) Small die cut size is 1" square, largest die cut is 3-1/2" square.
Product availability: Dies are scheduled to ship at the end of February.

Okay, now on to my project. As I said before, these shape of dies remind me of postage stamps.
I immediately knew I wanted to do more of my Postage Stamp Layouts, with the focal image resembling a large postage stamp. With Valentine's Day coming up, I thought some cute note cards with hearts would come in quite handy. My finished cards measure 4-1/4" square.
To make the postage stamp focal point for my cards, I simply started by die cutting Papertrey Kraft cardstock with the third smallest die from the S4-196 LG Classic Inverted Scalloped Square Die set.
I then stamped my die with a dotted square image from Papertrey's Borders and Corners Squares stamp set using Papertrey Vintage Cream ink. The square image fits perfectly into the die!
Using various patterned papers from October Afternoon, I die cut 1-1/2" squares using my Spellbinder's Square Nestabilities Die Templates. The basic square shapes layer perfectly with the new dies. I finished off the focal point image with small stamped hearts from Papertrey's Heart Prints stamp set. I then adhered these to my card fronts using pop dots, then added a finishing touch of some loopy ribbons.
I love the way these turned out! I can't wait to try out the smallest squares to make even tinier postage stamps. Try using these accents on the outside of envelopes where an actual stamp would go. How cute would it be to hand deliver that fun card? Or make these accents into tags to tie onto gifts and packages. Or how about tying them around jars of jelly or home made treats. Or use them to label baskets for organizing. The possibilities are endless to what you can do with these fun new dies!!
And to change things up a bit, I made a second type of card using the same S4-196 LG Classic Inverted Scalloped Square Die Templates as I did for the cards above. This time though, I used the second from the largest die to show you the look that the larger dies give. Just another great detail accent to add to a card front. Card uses Papertrey Heart Prints stamp set, October Afternoon patterned paper, small heart punch, PTI Kraft and Ocean Tides cardstock, and PTI ribbon.

Hi!
When I first saw these shapes, I thought maybe there was finally a Nestie I didn't need and I could save some money. Then I saw what you made with them and now I have to have them! I have one question, though. Are the SKUs really S4-196 and S4-107? It seems odd that they're not closer together. Maybe one is a typo?
Thank you so much for the awesome examples & pictures!
