Project Life 2014...Week 34 with back to school + canning inserts

Sharing Week 34 of my Project Life 2014 today along with a few inserts.  This week was full of activities and lots of photos.  I used the December Gossamer Blue kits for this week's spreads.
The two page spread with a photo in every insert.  Photos + stories is what I always concentrate on most.
The left page
The right page.
August and 92 degrees and back to school week.
My first Tray Tuesday post, nice to have that documented.
Swimming with the overly white people.  My sister's pretty quilts.
This little artwork I saw that reminds me of Jordan.
My favorite cookbooks and a Pinterest find that I love.
New babies in the family.
A 5 x 7 insert of the girls' first day of school photo.  Always on the front porch, always with Charlie.
I loved the combo of stickers, chipboard and rub ons from the Gossamer Blue kits.  I adhered them all right to the photo.
The back side of the 5 x 7 insert and another 6 x 12 insert of my mom canning some of my sweet peppers and onions. I love that I captured her hands, her pretty rings and her well loved potholders.
A close up of the 5 x 7 insert which tells the story of our canning day.  I don't profess to be the best traditional scrapbooker but I do love to tinker with all the embellishments.  I'm hoping to have more traditional layouts and inserts in my 2015 albums.  I'll share more about that when I get caught up a bit.
All the Gossamer Blue goodies, so mixy matchy and perfect. I love the "home" which is a stamp from the Life Pages Main Kit paired with the letter stickers (Evalicious) from the Add-on Kit #2.
Typewriter journaling is on a tag from the kits.
A few sequins from the Add-on Kit #2 were tossed in the page protector.
This is the back side of the 6 x 12 insert. It has a photos of the first volleyball practice, the girls and friends and the Seniors on the volleyball team. I used a journaling card from the Life Pages Kit alongside a square photo for typed journaling.
A good week in the books.  I love the weeks with inserts because I think they tell more of the deeper stories.  Thanks for stopping by today, I'll be sharing more weeks and projects from the upcoming January Gossamer Blue release soon.

Project Life 2014....Week 33

Sharing Week 33 of my Project Life today.  Back to school time for the girls.
I'm using Gossamer Blue kits to finish my spread this week.  As I look back on the Summer, I'm realizing that there were a lot of "lasts" this year.  The last of these big group photos of girls with both my girls in high school.  The last of of two messy bedrooms to look at every day.  That's why this documenting of photos is so important to me.
Also looking forward to the first of the "firsts".  Josey's first place of her own, her first day of college, her first real job.  Times are changing for our family and I'm so happy to have a process for getting all of our photos and stories into albums.
My weekly, dated insert card.  Sparkly.
The girls' rooms.  Usually so very messy,  Anything they do to clean up is a bonus.
Gossamer Blue 3 x 4 cards with a stamped tag from my shop + typed journaling on a notebook label from my shop.
New shoes for me.
The last of the garden goodies and Willie Nelson as a baby kitten.
Back to school supplies + some journaling about my sister.
Thanks for always visiting and leaving comments, if you do.  I so appreciate those and read them all.  Merry Christmas to you and here's to a very Happy New Year!  I'll be back after Christmas.

Project Life 2014.....Week 31

Today I'm sharing Week 31 of my Project Life 2014.  Lots of photos with minimal embellishing.  I used Gossamer Blue kits to finish this week's spread. Here's the two page layout.
The left page.  This week we were excited to get a box full of new clothes we found from a great online shop.  It was Josey's Senior Photo shoot week so was a fun time.
The right page.  Josey opened a checking account, Jordan made her usual funny faces behind a plant at the bank.  More canning and time with family.
A fun weekly, dated insert.  I added swipes of ink pads to these fun letters.
Pretty rub on, stickers and cork embellishments from the GB kits.
Another good week in the books.  Trucking along.  Looking forward to some changes with my Project Life for 2015.  I'll share as I collect more thoughts.  Thanks for stopping by!

Project Life 2014....Week 30

Week 30 of my 2014 Project Life was sure a fun one.  I was knee deep in garden veggies during this week so it was all about the canning.  I did a two page spread with an insert.
Here's the two page spread by itself.
The left page.
The right page.
This was my journaling for this week.  I used Gossamer Blue kits for the papers and Ali Edwards story prompt stamps for the stamping.  Really loving her program of story prompt stamps and the videos (and now kits) that tie it all together.
For each item I canned I took use a close up photo + I created a collage photo of the same item.  Really love how this turned out.
For all of the wording I used a combination of fonts from the Phonto app on my iPhone.
For the collage I used the Becky Higgins Project Life app on my iPhone.
I then mailed all the photos to my email address, opened them on my big Mac and printed them with a white border.
Absolutely love the way this week turned out and hope to come back to this idea in the future.
This is a 6 x 12 insert with some random photos of my jars, my kitchen while canning and some of my jars all lined up after canning.
The back side of the insert shows a few of the canned items in some recipes.
I used little tags from my shop for typed journaling.
Love, love, love.  I could totally see using this type of spread for a week in December to add in more holiday photos.....or how about a birthday party.....or Week in the Life.  Lots of possibilities. Hope you're inspired.  Thanks for stopping by today!
